This is a really quick post about trying to get Unifi and netgear switches to work together.
I spent HOURS trying to get a LAG up between these 2 switches. For my network i have an 8 port PoE Unifi switch which connects the 3 Unifi AC Pro’s then a 3 port LACP Bond between the unifi switch and a Netgear “smart-switch”.
Here are the switches im using:
- UniFi Switch 8 POE-150W
- GS724Tv4 ProSafe 24-port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch
I spent several hours trying to get this to come up. The symptoms was the link was going down within seconds of either the Unifi or Netgear switch was rebooted.
In short, all you need to do is DISABLE SPANNING TREE on the Unifi switch. You can see the setting here:

You might have to reboot, i cant remember but this will get it working.
